North Ayrshire’s girls are in action at the Scottish Synchro Club Championships in Bellshill this weekend.

Recently-crowned double Scottish champion Aitanta Lopez will be showing off a new routine at the Sir Matt Busby Centre, while our other SNAGS finalist, Ailidh Brobyn will be performing the one she did so well with at Drumchapel a few weeks ago.

In all the club has 11 girls who are entering more than 6 routines.

In the duets Danielle Ternent and Erin Furey are pairing up while Neve Cassidy is making her debut at national level with Kerry Ternent. Erin Patten is joining them to swim their Elvis Combination.

Synchro lead coach, Emma Miller comments: “This routine has undergone a few changes this year and we're looking to improve on last year's scores with it. This is also Erin's first routine at this level.”

In the 7 combination Grace Thom, Emma Binnie, Layla Reid and Salma Shaheen will be showing off their ‘Reach for the Stars’ routine.

“I'm really looking forward to the competition,” says Emma.

“The girls have put in a lot of extra work in the past few weeks both in and out of the to get the routines looking their best.

“Our main target is to beat our points score from last year and improve on the marks in the combo team and solos.”
